February arrived with energy, intention, and early signs of spring. The real estate market picked up pace alongside the shorter month, and while the calendar is compact, buyer and seller activity made clear that 2026 was already taking shape.
 
In Oakland, the city leaned into the season. From Valentine's Day pop-ups and Lunar New Year celebrations across the region to the continued buzz of new restaurant openings and refreshed neighborhood staples in Temescal, Fruitvale, and Uptown, February reminded everyone why the Bay Area is worth calling home. Community, culture, and connection remained at the heart of Oakland's appeal.
 
And Oakland had even more to celebrate this February. Native daughter and figure skating champion Alysa Liu, who took the world stage and made the Bay proud, is now immortalized in a stunning mural right next to our office!
